Say Hello to "Hobonichi ID"!

Hobonichi began in 1998, and for the last twenty years — well before websites around the world began offering e-commerce services — the Hobonichi Store has been allowing customers to enjoy shopping online for a variety of products.

We've been evolving along the way with the latest technology, but we've reached the point where we need to make some pretty fundamental upgrades.

That's where the Hobonichi ID comes in. This new service allows us to enhance security, improve customer experience, and conveniently link many of our services we provide.

• Strengthened security regarding personal information.
• Logging into your account before shopping.

We apologize for the inconvenience, but we're asking all customers who have previously shopped with us to update their old username to a new Hobonichi ID. But don't worry, it's an easy process with three simple steps as listed below.

1. Confirm Conditions of Use
2. Enter and confirm your email address using a verification code.
3. Set a password at least 8 characters long

That's all there is to it. It only takes a couple minutes.

To be honest, it's also a good thing for us as well, as we'd like our users to set more secure passwords for their Hobonichi ID, which has higher security standards.

But we came to the conclusion that it was a necessary step to establish a way for everyone to access our services in a more convenient and secure way.

After July 1st (Mon) 6:00 p.m. JST, users must have a Hobonichi ID to shop on Hobonichi, so we ask for all existing users to complete the switching process. New users are also more than welcome to sign up! Thank you for your cooperation in taking a few minutes to complete these three steps to update your ID.

New and improved, making it easier and more convenient to use Hobonichi Store!

Along with the creation of Hobonichi ID, we have also undergone a partial revamp of our Hobonichi Store to make shopping at Hobonichi Store more fun and convenient.

With the revamp, users can now enjoy a smoother and more enjoyable shopping experience starting from the moment you add something to your cart all the way to when the order is complete.

*The cart and personal information screenhave been simplified to make them easier to understand.

Additionally, if you log in with your Hobonichi ID beforehand, you can proceed to purchasing products by clicking "Proceed with this Hobonichi ID" without having to log in again!

Steps

1. Click the "Switch/Sign Up for the Hobonichi ID Here!" button below, then click "Log in."

2. Log in using the email address and password linked to your Hobonichi Store account.

3. After logging in, please follow the following instructions:

   a. Read and accept the User Agreement.

   b. Confirm your email address and enter a verification code.

   c. Choose a password that is at least 8 alphanumeric characters in length.


4. Once the screen shows that your Hobonichi ID has been created, click "Back to Hobonichi Store."

5. Please confirm that the account details shown on-screen are correct. After that, you're done!

1. Click the "Switch/Sign Up for the Hobonichi ID Here!" button below, then click "Create new account."

2. Follow the on-screen instructions to create a new account:

   a. Read and accept the User Agreement.

   b. Select your preferred login method.

   *You can log in using the following methods: registering an email address and password; Sign in with Google; or Sign in with Apple.

   *If you choose to log in by registering an email address and password, you will need to confirm your email address with a verification code.


3. Once the screen shows that your Hobonichi ID has been created, click "Back to Hobonichi Store."

4. Please enter the Customer information for shopping (such as your name and address), then click "Register" to save your information.

5. Please confirm that the account details shown on-screen are correct. After that, you're done!
