Products are handmade, making each one unique

This product is painstakingly hand-crafted by an artisan in Henry Beguelin’s workshop in Italy. We’ve paid careful attention to making every cover the same dimensions, but because every case is created by hand, there will be slight differences between every one.

About the original texture of the leather

The leather used in this product is carefully selected by Henry Beguelin and vegetable-tanned to retain an all-natural feel. The individuality of each case is protected by preserving the naturally-occurring characteristics of leather such as wrinkles, scratches, stains or vein marks. Please note that tone may vary between products due to factors such as compatibility of the dye and the leather, time of staining, and differences in environment.

Bead colors cannot be requested

Small beads sewn into the cover are specially chosen from a collection of several colors, making each case different. We hope you enjoy the variation and anticipation in finding which random beads you receive.

Leather coloring stains

Dyed leather products tend to leave stains until the dye has worn into the leather upon use. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the leather is wet.

If your case gets wet

Immediately dab the leather case with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated place in the shade.

Storing your case

Please avoid storing your cover in hot, humid places or placing it on potentially adhesive substances for long periods of time as this may result in lower product quality and color stains.

Caring for your leather case

The leather is very delicate, so please use caution when maintaining it. Gently wiping your cover with a soft, dry cloth once in a while will be sufficient. For removing stains and other routine care to extend the life of your leather, we recommend using the Leather Care Kit available in the Hobonichi Store.
