Our sleek Henry Cuir covers are individually hand-crafted in leather craftsman Henri Beguelin's studio in Italy. What ultimately sets these covers apart is the thick cowhide leather, which is vegetable-tanned by hand to allow the color and luster to deepen over years of use.
The 2016 edition A6 Henry Cuir covers have taken on the title "Intègre," or "integrity," as demonstrated in the painstaking labor poured into every aspect of each cover.
Our black leather covers usually have a formal feel, but Nero features a friendly, more casual look with its natural hemp yarn and inviting stitching of a horseback rider. As the years pass, the corners of the tight leather soften and become rounder, and the cover nestles comfortably into the hands of its user.

This cover is painstakingly hand-crafted by an artisan in Henri Beguelin’s workshop in Italy. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences. The individuality of each cover is protected by preserving the naturally-occurring characteristics of leather such as wrinkles, scratches, stains or vein marks. Please note that tone may vary between covers due to factors such as compatibility of the dye and the leather, time of staining, and differences in environment. - Antique glass beads on bookmarks vary by cover
Each bookmark contains an antique glass bead from a special collection Henri Beguelin has kept for many years. No two beads are alike in size or design, and some beads may be slightly chipped. We hope you enjoy the variation and anticipation in discovering which random bead you receive.
- Each embroidered design varies on the outer cover
The color of the threads sewn onto the cover all vary, so your cover will be slightly different from the one pictured in the product page. These thread colors cannot be requested, so we hope you enjoy the variation and anticipation in discovering which colors you receive.
- Not for use with Cover on Cover
The PVC plastic of the Cover on Cover contains plasticizer additives which may cause a reaction in the leather dye and affect the color and quality of the leather cover. Please refrain from using the Cover on Cover with this product.
- Pen holder fits pens up to 13.5 mm wide
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2 mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free bonus gift with select Japanese-version Hobonichi Web Shop products. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53”) in diameter.
- Immediately dry if it gets wet
Immediately dab your product with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated place in the shade.
- Leather coloring stains
Dyed leather products tend to leave stains. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the bag is wet from water or sweat from your hands.
- Avoid storing in hot and humid places
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
