This Zippers-type leather cover was designed in collaboration with Arts&Science owner Sonya Park, the director of the English Hobonichi Techo Planner.
The fine-grain Italian calfskin is luxuriously smooth. The leather is vegetable-tanned by well-established, expert tanners in Toscana in a way that retains the extraordinary feel of soft and smooth calf leather. The wonderful feel of this cover will immediately fit comfortably into your hands, and the surface will deepen in color and luster with continued use.
One of the best parts of this cover is being able to enjoy the way the colors come out so vividly while still maintaining the original feel of the leather. This allows users to enjoy the best of both worlds without having to sacrifice one or the other.
Fondente is Italian for “melt,” and Chocolate Fondente means “dark chocolate.” As the name implies, this cover is a deep brown reminiscent of dark chocolate.
The cover interior contains a gusseted pocket with a zipper for safely storing important items while keeping them easy to access.
The cover has extra vertical space to avoid overlapping the zipper pull with the techo book inside. Because the cover is slightly bigger than usual, there’s a carefully-designed sewn line inside the cover to hold the book snugly in place and prevent it from sliding around the cover.
In lieu of a bookmark, this cover includes an original A&S pencil board to hold your place and provide a sturdy writing surface under each page.
*Select Hobonichi Techo covers are exclusively available at Arts&Science shops. See here for more information.
