These small tote bags are made with the same textiles used in minä perhonen Hobonichi Techo covers.



The soda water bag is made with the same textile as the 2019 minä perhonen soda water cover, while imagine and mermaid are made with the same textiles used in their respective 2018 techo covers. The bag is big enough to fit a Hobonichi Techo Cousin along with your wallet and any other personal items you’ll need when you’re out.



The soda water tote bag is non-gusseted. Each blue dot in the Jacquard weave textile is woven in a different direction, giving the pattern a unique sense of motion.



The soda water cover has a light gray background dotted with woven blue circles, but look closely and you’ll see there’s more to it. The dots are not depicted as solitary circles, but when we look at the design, our eyes can see each dot individually. That’s the playful effect of this textile’s experimental polka-dot design.

The imagine tote bag is a non-gusseted design made from smooth cotton. In this dreamy, mysterious design, animals gather in a curious forest. It’s a lot of fun to study the design and find all the animals hiding deep within the design. The bag is navy blue with a gray print on the front, making it match well with everyday outfits. The inside of the bag is a solid dark blue.



The mermaid tote bag is made with an intricately embroidered textile that resembles fish scales or sea waves. It comes in green or gray to match the 2018 mermaid techo covers.



The base material, called “dop,” is a special cloth created for making chairs and other furniture. It’s created by pasting together two differently-colored textiles front to back, and it’s the first time minä perhonen has used dop cloth together with the mermaid textile. The mermaid bag has a gusseted design and feels cozy to the touch.

All three tote bags have sophisticated and subdued designs that never get old. Just holding the bag in your hand can put a smile on your face — that’s the power of a mina perhonen textile.
