This whiteboard wall calendar makes it easy to erase and rewrite entries and comes with its own whiteboard marker. The Medium size offers a compact option to take up less space.
This flexibility makes it great for any use — tracking a syllabus for scheduling study sessions for students, managing a personal schedule, or any other use for work or home. The compact size also makes it nice for keeping flat on a desk next to your computer. Fans of this size have increased every year since the size was introduced 6 years ago.
The artwork for this year’s monthly numbers is by artist Eriko Ogata, who created ceramic pieces to depict each month.
The 2019-edition calendar has been made slightly taller to provide even more writing space.
When purchased in the Hobonichi Techo Official Store, the calendar comes with a Memo Pit modeled after Ogata’s work. The Memo Pit is a reusable, double-sided adhesive strip that makes it easy to stick and unstick memos to various surfaces, turning any paper into a sticky note.

After continuously erasing and rewriting entries in the calendar, the whiteboard surface may darken over time. Use a wet wipe, a dampened tissue, or a cloth to clean the surface.
Because this calendar is designed to be used with dry erase markers, accidentally rubbing your hand on an entry can smudge or wipe away the writing. Previous writing may also blur if left to remain on a month’s page while moving on to future months
We recommend using a standard oil-based marker when writing important and certain dates you don’t want to erase, such as birthdays and anniversaries
Using markers with water-based ink, such as wet erase markers, will cause the ink to take a very long time to dry. Once the ink dries, it will be difficult to erase. Avoid using these types of markers.
The whiteboard paper in this calendar is weak to heat. Avoid storing it in bathrooms or other rooms prone to becoming warm.
Do not store the marker straight up or down, as it causes the ink to collect and stop coming out. We recommend storing the marker horizontally flat. In addition, ink may be difficult to dispense at first depending on the positioning of the products in the packaged set. If ink starts out difficult to dispense, leave the marker down flat in a horizontal position for a while before trying again.
If the bottom of the pen starts to drop downward after placing the pen horizontally against the magnet, tightly squeeze the magnet on the pen cap with your finger. These adhesive magnet strips have been applied to the pen caps by hand, so they may not be exactly even. Squeezing the magnet back against the pen cap helps flatten the magnet strip and strengthen the magnetic pull.
The adhesive metal bar included with the Full Size and Medium Size calendars can be applied wherever you like such as atop the calendar. The metal bar is intended to provide a spot for you to store your dry erase marker by the magnet on the pen cap. You can also use your own magnet to store receipts and notes on this spot.
*Items stored here by a magnet have the possibility of getting lost, so we do not recommend storing especially important receipts or tickets.
*Metal bar is made of tin. Tightly squeezing the bar and its edges or rubbing the edges against your hands may result in injury. Please handle with care.
Keep out of reach of children.
