minä perhonen creates timeless, all-original garment textiles that are specially dyed, embroidered, and woven to recreate hand-drawn designs.
Embroidered flowers line a path in minä perhonen’s path textile. Look closely and you’ll see all the minute and unique details in each flower, made with a mix of plump, round embroidery and fine lines.
Although path is already a popular design, minä perhonen has created this new colorway especially for the Hobonichi Techo. The A5 size cover has a calming dark green base with yellow and beige-pink embroidered flowers that really pop. The embroidery has also been rearranged on the A5 size cover to fill the larger surface with even more flowers. The daring use of corduroy, with its extra-fine construction, gives this cover a wonderful feel in your hands.
The pen-holders and interior cover are made with faux leather in a subdued yellow hue. Two dotted lace bookmarks are attached.
When you walk your own daily path with this cover, its expressive, cheerful embroidered flowers will keep your days bright.

minä perhonen is a fashion brand created by designer Akira Minagawa.
First founded in 1995 under the name minä, and renamed "minä perhonen" in 2003. In Finnish, “minä” means “I,” and“perhonen” means “butterfly,” expressing Minagawa’s hopes to create designs as light-hearted and beautiful as a butterfly’s flapping wings.

- Coloring may stain other objects
The dye in the cover may stain other objects if it rubs against or sticks to them, especially if the cover is wet from water or sweat from your hands. Please store with care.
- Threads may protrude from embroidered area
Please note that embroidered areas may contain threads that protrude from the design.
- Embroidered designs may be slightly distorted
Due to the varied thickness of the material, embroidered designs may appear slightly bent.
- Not for use with Cover on Cover
This cover uses thicker materials than usual, so it may not fit. Forcing it into a Cover on Cover may damage the products.
- Lace bookmarks may contain frays
The bookmarks of this cover use original mina perhonen lace straps. If you see any loose threads, we recommend refraining from pulling on it and instead tucking it between other woven threads.
- Inquiries about the minä perhonen collaboration covers
These Hobonichi Techo cover designs were directed by minä perhonen, but produced by Hobonichi. Inquiries about these covers cannot be answered at minä perhonen shop locations, so please contact the Hobonichi Store with any questions or concerns.
- Avoid storing in hot and humid places
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
- No outer pocket
This cover does not contain an outer pocket.
- Pen holders are rigid at first
The pen holders are rigid at first, making it difficult to insert pens. You can speed up the breaking-in process by rolling the pen holders in your hand.
- Pen holder fits pens up to 13.5 mm wide
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2 mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free Hobonichi Store Exclusive. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53”) in diameter.
