We’ve teamed up with mt, the world’s leading washi tape brand, to create this techo cover designed to replicate the unique appeal of washi tape.
Red x Yellow Mix is made up of a series of red and yellow stripes — striped, polka-dotted, solid, and checkered. This cheerful cover recreates the fun feeling of layering washi tape by taking woven strips of “tape” and sewing them to the woven cover, allowing you to enjoy the texture as well as the look of washi tape.
The cover interior is a calm shade of red, paired with light yellow and light purple charms on the bookmarks to give it a cute look.

About mt
Founded in 2008, mt is the leading maker of washi tape, or decorative masking tape, designed for stationery and accessories. While masking tape has traditionally been used for industrial purposes or in the health industry, its ability to adhere to surfaces without damaging them made it the perfect medium for the colorful designs that have made it a new form of stationery, both convenient and cute. Stitching may be slightly curved or bumpy as a result of sewing together materials of various thicknesses.
- White spots around stitching
Due to the characteristics of the print and product material, the sewing process may expose the white of the original material around the stitches.
- Cover may contain variations in stitching or loose lining
When this cover is open flat, exterior stitching areas may appear puckered and lining material may be loose.
- Not for use with Cover on Cover
This cover uses thicker materials than usual, so it may not fit. Forcing it into a Cover on Cover may damage the products.
- Pen holders are rigid at first
The pen holders are rigid at first, making it difficult to insert pens. You can speed up the breaking-in process by rolling the pen holders in your hand.
- No outer pocket
This cover does not contain an outer pocket.
- Pen holder fits pens up to 13.5 mm wide
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2 mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free Hobonichi Store Exclusive. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53”) in diameter.
- Avoid storing in hot and humid places
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
- Pattern alignment varies by product
The patterned fabric has not been aligned to a specific layout, so the placement of each design will vary by product. The product will not be an exact replica of the one in the product photographs.
