Hobonichi Haramaki: 4D Pocket
The Hobonichi Haramaki is a "belly warmer" to keep your body warm at all times. Ever since it was born in 2001, over 300 designs have been produced. Joining the lineup is a design based on one of Doraemon's secret tools, named the 4D Pocket.
On the middle of the blue body overlayed with white, reminiscent of Doraemon's belly, is a half-moon shaped pocket. Keep something important in this pocket in place of Doraemon's secret tools.
This 4D Pocket uses a perennial material in the Hobonichi Haramaki lineup. The texture is almost towel-like and breathes easily, yet it absorbs sweat well and will not pill easily. The fabric stretches well too, but will shrink back to its original size when washed. The material is a mix of 97% cotton to 3% polyurethane, and the areas that are in direct contact with your body is fully made from cotton.
Available for purchase on the Hobonichi Techo Official Store is the S size. This size is perfect for women, and men who are on the slim side. If you are expecting, how you feel about the fit will depend on each person, but if you’re in your early stages of pregnancy (1-4 months) the size S would fit fine.

- About the Haramaki
・It may feel tight to start with.
The Hobonichi Haramaki tries to use as little fabric softener as possible that forces the fabric to become soft during the manufacturing process. Therefore, when you use it for the first time, it may feel tighter than you expected. However, the material will gradually stretch to be the perfect fit for you, as you continue to wear it.
・The color may fade when washed frequently.
The Hobonichi Haramaki uses a material that is less likely to go out of shape, but due to the nature of the cotton used, the color may slightly fade when it is washed frequently.
・Nails and hangnails will easily get caught on the material, so please be cautious.
Nails and hangnails may get caught on the material and cause thin threads to protude from the Haramaki. Please be cautious when wearing or taking off this product.
・Washing cotton products
This product may be washed like T-shirts, but please be aware not to use detergent with chlorine bleach. Please do not spin dry, or hang the Haramaki to dry. We recommend you place it on a surface when druing. Additionally, using the dryer or using fabric softener may damage the threads. To use this product for a long time, we recommend you avoid using either of them. The Haramaki may give off color, so please do not wash it together with items that you are worried may stain. Please also do not use it in the tumble dryer, or wash it in hot water in high temperatures. Do not leave it in water, or keep it damp for a long period of time. Please be cautious that the color may come off, or it may give off color due to sweat or rubbing.
