mintdesigns offers fashion items using unique prints and materials that are unforgettable.
Zig-Zag uses a fabric that is representative of mintdesigns’ challenging approach. The material is created with Medicom Toy, and is used in items such as bags and accessories.
A non-uniformed, fresh, white colored zig-zag pattern is printed on a cotton canvas. The material is then PVC coated, and is further embossed to add surface texture.
The smoothness coming from the PVC coexists with the texture coming from the emboss. It’s less likely to get dirty, which is a also a big bonus.
The pen holders and the charms on the end of the bookmarks are made with natural leather. It will fit to your hand the more you use it, and will change color as it ages.
*About the stitches in the center of the cover surface
There has been a change in specifications from the product seen in the 1st-4th image (styled images). The actual product will have stitches in the center of the cover surface. Please see the 5th-9th image for an image of the actual product.
Due to these stitches, the spine of the cover will stick up when used with thin books such as the 2-book type Avec and the Day-Free.
*This cover is from the Hobonichi Techo 2021 lineup.
Fashion brand established in 2001 by Hokuto Katsui and Nao Yagi after they both graduated from Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design (London).
The brand’s goal is to establish clothing as a subset of product design, pursuing the possibilities of fashion without adhering to trends.
The “mint” in “mintdesigns” represents not only the freshness of a mint herb but the idea of being “mint”—brand new, rare, and valuable.

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.
Due to the stich on the back, the spine of the cover will stick up when used with thin books such as the 2-book type Avec and the Day-Free.
Each item is individually assembled and sewn by hand by a factory worker. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.
This material is first printed or dyed and then later sewn onto the cover. While colors are designed to be consistent, there may be uneven coloring or slight shade variances between covers. This may also happen across a single cover, such as a pocket compared to the rest of the cover. In addition, on rare occasions, there may be small black or white dots visible on the print. This is an unavoidable aspect of the manufacturing process.
When putting the cover on the techo book, it may strain the book cover and spine due to the nature of the material of ths cover. When putting the cover on the techo book, please refer to the How to put on and care for your cover page and slowly insert the book. Additionally, the black dots that may be present on the material are part of the characteristics of this cotton material and is unavoidable.
Letting the product sit against printed material or vinyl surfaces may result in transfers of the print and other damage.
The pen holders are rigid at first, making it difficult to insert pens. You can speed up the breaking-in process by rolling the pen holders in your hand.
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2 mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free Hobonichi Store Exclusive. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53”) in diameter.
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
This cover uses thicker materials than usual, so it may not fit. Forcing it into a Cover on Cover may damage the products.
