This is a letter pad with 100 sheets of paper that goes well with all kinds of writing utensils; from fountain pens to glass pens and pencils. Not only can you use it to write letters, you can use it as an idea notebook, sketchbook, and any way you like.
This pad uses Bank Paper that was developed by Mitsubishi Paper Mills in 1960 to be used in banks as ledger notebooks. The paper resists ink feathering and bleed-through, is durable, and preserves well. You’ll see the watermark of “Three Diamonds,” a trademark of Mitsubishi, when you hold the paper under light. Another characteristic would be that your pen won’t glide too much and provides a comforting writing experience.
The color of the paper is ivory. It will bring out the color of any ink you use with it.
It’s slightly smaller than the Hobonichi Techo Cousin in A5 size, so we also recommend you use it with your techo to paste in anything you’ve written on this pad.
If you’re looking to write along ruled lines, we’ve prepared ruled lines that you can download and print out. There are two widths available: one with wide lines to write freely, and another with narrow lines to write in a lot finely.
Also available are matching envelopes made with bank paper so you can enjoy the same writing experience as the writing pad. Because two sheets of paper are layered, the letter you put inside won’t be seen through.
