The author, Junichi Okubo, a professor at the National Museum of Japanese History, categorizes all 46 works into five perspectives: "nature," "composition," "location," "journey," and "business." He explains in an easy-to-understand manner the hidden intentions behind Hokusai’s works. There are also lots of articles talking about the scenery depicted in the Thirty-Six Views of Mount Fuji series, as well as the life of Hokusai.
