This brooch is by iron artist Noboru Makizuka and features a lighthouse.
It was created under the same theme of “sea travel” as the Hobonichi Techo cover Umikoto. The design shows the lighthouse delivering light towards the sea.
It’s a original design by Makizuka, and each piece is handmade. This brooch has a pin on the back, so when you put it on your clothes, it will brighten the look of your outfit.
You can also put it on pouches or pencil bases, where the yellow light stands out will act as an accent.
It’s a brooch that carries the joy of wearing a small piece of art.
Born in 1972 in Takamatsu City, where he still lives, Noboru Makizuka creates furniture, interior goods, and art for Steel Factory, where he runs the Gallery Altana creative space. The production manager of Space Arts Research Group, he’s currently working on a number of other projects, including the Teppan series of hand-hammered pans, the Umikoto series of nautical-themed art and accessories, and the Takibism series of bonfire-themed outdoor goods.
