This techo cover was created with PAMM, who focuses on the idea of “Wear my thought.” The brand features attractive pajama sets designed to be worn during the time when you are truly all to yourself: in your dreams.
The design is based on the “generous interior pajamas” actually sold at PAMM.
The cover’s cream-colored cotton material is given a pop-art look with green, black, and silver shapes drawn organically around the design. The green and matte black sections are silkscreen printed, while the silver and shiny black sections are foil-printed, giving the cover an elaborate design.
The cover interior is made with faux leather to contrast the cover exterior. The pockets are also printed with shapes so the design is fun on the inside and out.
There are two bookmarks, one straight one and one wavy one, which add to the look of the techo even when they’re tucked into pages.
The inner left pocket includes the PAMM logo.
The butterfly stopper pen holders come in two colors, one silber and one black.
Even the names and descriptions of PAMM pajamas share the brand’s unique worldview. Please read the column for more information on the meaning behind it.
You may find yourself feeling generous over the next year with this techo by your side.
The PAMM collaboration lineup includes a techo cover and laptop case, as well as the pajamas the design was based on.
*In the Hobonichi Techo 2024 lineup, the Cousin book is available as the Japanese edition and the English edition.
(The English edition is only available as the January start version.)
We had PAMM designer Masahiro Tobita write about the Generous Interior Techo and its textile.
———
Hi, I’m Tobita of the “spoken words project” responsible for the design of PAMM clothing, which is designed to be worn during the time when you are truly all to yourself and is based on the concept “Wear my thought.” When you write in or read your techo, then, too, are you basically alone with your thoughts. There’s a lot in common between the Hobonichi Techo and PAMM clothing.
Spending solitary time in PAMM clothing is quite avant-garde, but so too are the solitary evenings of all of you. We hope you spend that avant-garde time with your Hobonichi Techo as you wear PAMM pajamas. Soon enough, the letters of the night will give way to the morning.
[Generous Interior]It's nice to have good taste, isn't it? It’s like knowing what’s orthodox while still putting a bit of a spin on it. That may be similar to what makes something a comedy. It's a sharing of both intellect and inertia that makes everyone around you also appreciate that sense of style.
I had a friend in college who rarely bought furniture or household goods. They either picked it up from some curb or received it.That might seem implausible, but when you think about it, it’s surprisingly easy to just get by with things handed down from others graduating college or things bought at flea markets for almost nothing.
Anyway, my friend’s room was a popular gathering place. It was the go-to place for everything from student meetings to drinking parties, and he was always gladly inviting everyone in. I myself visited the room several times, and let me tell you, it was not clean. The room was one where people entered with their shoes still on. It was very spacious, and may have been an old factory office or staff room in the past. It looked like a main character’s room from a detective drama. The windows let in tons of natural light.
The windows let in plenty of natural light. There was a slightly tacky sofa set, a supermarket checkout basket and its cart for small items, a bed mattress propped up on plastic beer crates, and three refrigerators, more than half the space of which contained friends’ drinks. The toaster was a cool vintage one, but the timer was broken, so if you didn't turn it back manually by hand it would cook your bread forever. No one cared which of the many tacky clocks was accurate.Visitors would help themselves to beer from the fridge, make their own places to sit, drink, and talk, and press play on whatever LP was already sitting in the record player.
Looking back, I can remember how much care he took in setting up his room interior. He had good taste.
Relaxation = Generosity.
When I saw this textile, it reminded me of his interior design, which actually had good taste.
The lines aren’t sharp or cool with a sense of tension, but they are broad and generous. It may look a bit poor depending on how you view it, but it gives off a relaxed mood. It also has the kind of sense that makes something a comedy. The arrangement of shapes looks like a sofa set, and the lack of color represents the generosity offered to visitors. When a design has the same sense of affability as that which can bring people together, that’s the nuance necessary for a pair of pajamas meant to be worn alone.
Take a picture of yourself when you’re spending an evening alone in these pajamas and you will find how these pajamas have also generously influenced your own personal interior.
Reflect on the hustle and bustle of the past when you talked with your daydreaming friends all night, as you enjoy your alone time now.

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.
Each item is individually assembled and sewn by hand by a factory worker. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.
This material is first printed or dyed and then later sewn onto the cover. While colors are designed to be consistent, there may be uneven coloring or slight shade variances between covers. This may also happen across a single cover, such as a pocket compared to the rest of the cover. In addition, on rare occasions, there may be small black or white dots visible on the print. This is an unavoidable aspect of the manufacturing process.
Due to the structure of the cover that opens flat 180 degrees, exterior stitching areas may appear puckered and lining material may be loose.
This cover uses thicker materials than usual, so it may not fit. Forcing it into a Cover on Cover may damage the products.
The pen holders are rigid at first, making it difficult to insert pens. You can speed up the breaking-in process by rolling the pen holders in your hand.
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2 mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free Hobonichi Store Exclusive. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53”) in diameter.
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
