This is a Postcard Book with botanical illustrations by Dr. Tomitaro Makino, a botanist known as the Father of Botany, that makes an ideal companion for your daily life.
Published to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Tomitaro Makino's death, it was created from approximately 1,700 botanical illustrations left by Dr. Makino in the collection of the Kochi Prefectural Makino Botanical Garden, and carefully selected drawings by outstanding artists who refined their skills under Dr. Makino’s guidance.
The 26 sheets include 17 of Dr. Makino’s drawings. Each of them can be detached and used as a postcard, with a botanical illustration on the front and a description of the plant on the back.
You can use it however you like, to write seasonal greetings associated with the plants depicted on it, display it on your desk as an ornamental piece of art, or even insert it in your techo cover since the size is almost the same as the A6 size Original Hobonichi Techo.
