PAMMThanks SeaWeeks Hardcover Book / Weekly Horizontal / ENG or JPN edition / Jan start / Mon start

  • 2025 New

This Weeks book was created with PAMM, who focuses on the idea of “Wear my thought.” The brand features attractive pajama sets designed to be worn during the time when you are truly all to yourself: in your dreams.

Thanks Sea is one of PAMM’s most popular pajama designs.

A sandy color background is woven with wavy blue lines that evoke the sea. There are also some sparkling silver accents reminiscent of the whitecaps of waves. The PAMM logo is dispersed throughout the design in a chic navy blue for a mature look. The year 2025 is foil-pressed in silver to add a nice accent.

The logo on the back is also foil-pressed in silver.

The wavy lines and the year 2025 foil-pressed makes the spine look stylish.

If you think about the sea being turned into a techo so you can carry it with you every day, it feels like you can spend each day with an open mind.

Our PAMM product lineup includes socks and the pajamas their design is based on.

When you order this Hobonichi Techo Weeks, you’ll receive a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. This paper that underwent an overhaul with the 2024 edition techo is more resistant to bleed through, lighter despite being the same thickness, and has a smoother surface by adjusting the fibers of the paper.

The Weeks book has space for writing in plans or journal entries, and it also has 69 pages of grid paper memo pages in the back (73 pages in the English edition). The back of the book contains bonus pages, including Sample Symbols and Icons and Oodles of Noodles.

The Hobonichi Techo 2025 Weeks book comes in either English or Japanese. If you love this cover, then you can pick out which language you’d like in that book.

*The English edition book only comes as the January-start version.

If you’d like storage space or a way to change up the look of your Weeks book, you can customize your book by pairing it with a Weeks cover.

The thought behind Thanks Sea

PAMM designer Masahiro Tobita provided us with some words about the Thanks Sea textile, which the techo design is based on.

———

For what joy do we live?

Success,

income,

status,

fame…

These are good things,

but when you try thinking about them in specifics,

it’s tiring.

How about “gratitude?”

You live for the joy of “gratitude.”

It’s kind of a funny sentence.

I went to the seaside the other day.

It was okay when I decided to go that morning.

I drank beer with my lunch on the edge of the water and got tipsy.

It was Sunday, but without the area being popular, I had my own personal afternoon horizon.

A hawk drew circles in the sky.

The feel in the air was one of being alone yet completely protected by something.

I came to the ocean to forget that bitter feeling.

Ah, I forgot it all, then.

Ripples.

Watching the waves swaying on my bare ankles,

I felt somewhat dazed and weepy,

and I felt "gratitude.”

I’m so busy every day that you could say I’m at war

with things that make me angry, and things that make me think.

Everyone’s busy when they hate to lose.

Success,

income,

status,

fame…

For which do you live your life desiring?

That’s fine.

Go with that.

Aim for those, with “gratitude” in between.

You should all know the cause-and-effect of those and "gratitude.”

I created this new textile design with those thoughts in mind.

“Thanks Sea.”

Remember your “gratitude” when you wear these.

“Gratitude” is joy.

Fashion is joy.

About PAMM

This series of homewear was created by the fashion brand “spoken words project.”

Products are produced sustainably with organic cotton or recycled materials. The brand encourages customers to consider themselves and what they want, and let that guide their fashion choices.

Wearing PAMM means rethinking fashion communication.

What should I wear?

Think about it again.

If you think about your daily life and feel moved, you’ve got a unique time ahead of you.

What are clothes? Find your thoughts on it, and wear them.

PAMM: Wear my thought.

Expressing a classic design in an appealing way

You have pajamas on you for a long stretch of time as you’re asleep. Similarly, a techo is something you also keep close to you, so it seemed like a great fit. That’s what led me to try out the PAMM cover last year.

The exquisite detail across every inch of the cover made it very well-received, so this year I thought to revisit the PAMM lineup and offer one of the brand’s most classic and representative designs. I asked the staff at PAMM for guidance and we chose the Thanks Sea design.

After many meetings together and trial and error with knits, prints, and other techniques, we landed on these methods for creating the cover. I think the cover turned out very attractive, with a textile unlike any other.

We also made a PAMM Weeks book this year. Even if someone doesn’t know about the Hobonichi Techo, we hope the PAMM textile will appeal to someone enough to try it out.

PAMM creates their products with the concept “Wear my thought.” I hope users who choose this cover fill their techos with their everyday thoughts and feelings.

Please Read Before You Buy

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.

Use caution around sharp objects

The material in this product snags easily on sharp objects, so please handle with care.

Test fountain pens before regular use

The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.

Characteristics of materials and product design may result in white spots on the edges and corners of the front and back.
