HobonichiDrawer Pouch of an Artist by Naoko Horiguchi: Black Cat Pochette

  • New

“Drawer Pouch of a ◯◯” is a series of pouches we created by teaming up with people in various industries to observe their own actual drawers and then create a Drawer Pouch from scratch by deciding the size, shape, and materials.

This collaboration with artist Naoko Horiguchi has resulted in a cute, crossbody pouch shaped like a black cat’s face. One playful detail is the bright pink tongue peeking out from the cat’s mouth.

The fabric is a soft, fluffy faux fur that you’ll want to touch, while the interior is lined with a black-and-white gingham plaid pattern.

The “tongue” sticking out of the cat’s mouth is actually a hidden reusable bag. You can pull on the tongue to reveal the bag.

The reusable bag is in the style of a traditional Azuma bag, which can be tied at the ends to make a loop for carrying. The edges are trimmed with wavy tape, and there’s a small heart embroidered with gray thread as a charming accent.

This bag is perfect for extra items picked up while you’re out, as it can be quickly pulled out and used as needed. Once you’re done with it, you can fold it up and tuck it back into its storage pocket in the pouch.

On the opposite side of the storage pocket for the reusable bag, there’s a small card-sized pocket that’s ideal for keys, tickets, or store cards.

Inspired by the bell on a cat’s collar, the pouch also has a silver bell that jingles, adding a playful touch. The bell attaches with a ball chain, so you can remove it whenever you like.

The shoulder strap attaches with metal clasps, allowing you to detach it as needed.

This pouch is perfect for carrying just the essentials, like a handkerchief and wallet, when you want to travel light. And if you pick up extra items, the reusable bag has you covered. You can also use it as a small pouch inside your everyday bag, where its unique design will definitely stand out. Enjoy your outings with this soft and fluffy black cat by your side.
