This techo cover was created with PAMM, who focuses on the idea of “Wear my thought.” The brand features attractive pajama sets designed to be worn during the time when you are truly all to yourself: in your dreams.
Thanks Sea is one of PAMM’s most popular pajama designs.
A sandy color background is woven with wavy blue lines that evoke the sea. There are also some sparkling silver accents reminiscent of the whitecaps of waves. The PAMM logo is woven in navy and silver threads.
The beige faux leather interior includes a pocket with a playful element. The wavy blue lines are silk-printed, and the curvy silver lines are foil-pressed for an elaborate look.
The interior pocket is debossed with the PAMM logo.
The bookmarks are a bold silver and a blue that’s familiar to PAMM users and reminiscent of sea waves.
The butterfly stoppers are also blue and silver.
The design name and its explanation embody the unique worldview of PAMM. You can find the meaning behind “Thanks Sea” in the column below.
If you think about the sea being turned into a techo so you can carry it with you every day, it feels like you can spend each day with an open mind.
Our PAMM product lineup includes socks and the pajamas their design is based on.
In the Hobonichi Techo 2025 lineup, the Cousin book comes in either English or Japanese.
*The English book is only available as the January-start version.
PAMM designer Masahiro Tobita provided us with some words about the Thanks Sea textile, which the techo design is based on.
———
For what joy do we live?
Success,
income,
status,
fame…
These are good things,
but when you try thinking about them in specifics,
it’s tiring.
How about “gratitude?”
You live for the joy of “gratitude.”
It’s kind of a funny sentence.
I went to the seaside the other day.
It was okay when I decided to go that morning.
I drank beer with my lunch on the edge of the water and got tipsy.
It was Sunday, but without the area being popular, I had my own personal afternoon horizon.
A hawk drew circles in the sky.
The feel in the air was one of being alone yet completely protected by something.
I came to the ocean to forget that bitter feeling.
Ah, I forgot it all, then.
Ripples.
Watching the waves swaying on my bare ankles,
I felt somewhat dazed and weepy,
and I felt "gratitude.”
I’m so busy every day that you could say I’m at war
with things that make me angry, and things that make me think.
Everyone’s busy when they hate to lose.
Success,
income,
status,
fame…
For which do you live your life desiring?
That’s fine.
Go with that.
Aim for those, with “gratitude” in between.
You should all know the cause-and-effect of those and "gratitude.”
I created this new textile design with those thoughts in mind.
“Thanks Sea.”
Remember your “gratitude” when you wear these.
“Gratitude” is joy.
Fashion is joy.
This series of homewear was created by the fashion brand “spoken words project.”
Products are produced sustainably with organic cotton or recycled materials. The brand encourages customers to consider themselves and what they want, and let that guide their fashion choices.
Wearing PAMM means rethinking fashion communication.
What should I wear?
Think about it again.
If you think about your daily life and feel moved, you’ve got a unique time ahead of you.
What are clothes? Find your thoughts on it, and wear them.
PAMM: Wear my thought.

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.
Each item is individually assembled and sewn by hand by a factory worker. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.
Threads on the outer material may fray if they catch on sharp objects or are tugged too strongly, so please handle with care.
Due to the structure of the cover that opens flat 180 degrees, exterior stitching areas may appear puckered and lining material may be loose.
The pen holders are rigid at first, making it difficult to insert pens. You can speed up the breaking-in process by rolling the pen holders in your hand.
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2 mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free Hobonichi Store Exclusive. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5 mm (0.53”) in diameter.
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
The PVC plastic of the Cover on Cover contains plasticizer additives which may cause a reaction in the leather dye and affect the color and quality of the leather cover. Please refrain from using the Cover on Cover with this product.
Due to the characteristics of the woven fabric, the surface may contain dark lines, spots, and areas that appear to have shadows. This is an unavoidable aspect of manufacturing.
If you’ve used any of these products, we welcome your notes on what you like about them or what led you to buy them so we can share it with customers who are currently considering these products. We’d also love to welcome comments from customers who purchased their techo outside the Hobonichi Store or received their book as a gift.
