We created a techo cover featuring “block printing,” a traditional Indian technique. The cover’s name is “phoolon,” meaning “flowers” in Hindi.
The two fabrics applied to the front side are from “chahat,” a store that sells handcrafted materials from Nepal and India. Both patterns are created by Indian artisans by hand-pressing wooden blocks. The three-dimensional colors and blurring produced by the wooden blocks are unique to block printing and cannot be expressed by screen printing, which has become mainstream today. Please enjoy the individual differences of the misalignments and ink splashes as the character of each piece. You can cherish the warm texture of the handmade work and the endearing and refreshing blue color.
The flower pattern is slightly larger than the A6 Original size cover.
In the middle of the flap is a speck of pink, selected from the many cute Indian charms.
The cover closes with two magnets, which gives you peace of mind even when your techo thickens with photos or tickets attached.
The pen hook inside the cover is designed to hold a pen by its clip, and the pen fills out the cover nicely when closed.
The shocking pink bookmark is an accent; we made it simple without any charms.
On the left side of the inner cover is a pocket for cards.
The techo cover with a heartwarming floral pattern will lighten your mood every time you use it.
Because each cover is applied with handmade work, there may be slight blurring, irregularities in printing, or ink splashes on the fabric. Each charm also has its own individual differences. Not being all the same will make you love it as an one-and-only piece.
In the Hobonichi Techo 2025 lineup, the Cousin book comes in either English or Japanese.
*The English book is only available as the January-start version.

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.
Each item is individually assembled and sewn by hand by a factory worker. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but there may be slight differences.
This material is first printed or dyed and then later sewn onto the cover. While colors are designed to be consistent, there may be uneven coloring or slight shade variances between covers. This may also happen across a single cover, such as a pocket compared to the rest of the cover. In addition, on rare occasions, there may be small black or white dots visible on the print. This is an unavoidable aspect of the manufacturing process.
Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
Each of these covers is unique. The beauty of block printing is in the way it's not perfectly uniform. There may be blurs or misprints or ink splashes, but these imperfections in the print give it character. The charms are also unique between each cover. We hope you enjoy these special features of handmade craftsmanship.
This product contains a magnet. Please refrain from storing credit cards and other items that may be damaged when placed next to magnets.
If you’ve used any of these products, we welcome your notes on what you like about them or what led you to buy them so we can share it with customers who are currently considering these products. We’d also love to welcome comments from customers who purchased their techo outside the Hobonichi Store or received their book as a gift.
