ONE PIECE magazineStraw Hat Luffy (Ivory)Weeks Hardcover Book / Weekly Horizontal / ENG or JPN edition / Jan start / Mon start

  • 2025 New
  • ON SALE OCT 1

The Hobonichi Techo is back with another collaboration with ONE PIECE magazine, which dives into the world of the hit manga series One Piece. Straw Hat Luffy (Ivory) is a Weeks book with an illustration of Luffy drawn by creator Eiichiro Oda for the cover of ONE PIECE magazine Vol.9.

The cover is constructed as a light hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends, with a rough cloth with a fine, uneven texture. Luffy, holding a large brush, has just been produced by Eiichiro Oda’s hand and runs straight out — the dynamic and energetic illustrations are laid out all over the front and back covers.

The front cover is foil-printed with the year 2025 that glistens.

On the back is a foil-printed logo of ONE PIECE magazine x HOBONICHI as a delightful sign of the collaboration.

The spine says, “They Call Him ‘Straw Hat Luffy,’” inspired by the spine design of the ONE PIECE magazine.

We recommend using this Weeks book alongside the Hobonichi Pencil Board for Weeks (Memories - Ace, Sabo, Luffy).

We’ve also made a series of ONE PIECE magazine x Hobonichi Techo stationery items that are fun to use with your techo.

When you order this Hobonichi Techo Weeks, you’ll receive a clear, adhesive corner pocket you can stick anywhere you like.

The book uses thin and light yet durable Tomoe River paper. This paper that underwent an overhaul with the 2024 edition techo is more resistant to bleed through, lighter despite being the same thickness, and has a smoother surface by adjusting the fibers of the paper.

The Weeks book has space for writing in plans or journal entries, and it also has 69 pages of grid paper memo pages in the back (73 pages in the English edition). The back of the book contains bonus pages, including Sample Symbols and Icons and Oodles of Noodles.

The Hobonichi Techo 2025 Weeks book comes in either English or Japanese. If you love this cover, then you can pick out which language you’d like in that book.

*The English edition book only comes as the January-start version.

If you’d like storage space or a way to change up the look of your Weeks book, you can customize your book by pairing it with a Weeks cover.

*The quotes on the bottom of the pages are the same as the standard Hobonichi Techo Weeks books. They do not contain quotes from the One Piece series.

A Weeks book with the joy and power of hand drawing

The Straw Hat Luffy series features cool graphic designs unique to the ONE PIECE magazine on the Hobonichi Techo covers. We had the Original and Cousin size covers for the first and second years of collaboration, and now, for the third year, the long-awaited Weeks book is available.

The illustration of Luffy was drawn for the cover of the ONE PIECE magazine Vol.9 “Special Feature: Eiichiro Oda’s Design” issue. Luffy, drawing solid lines with a brush, is produced by the right hand of who seems to be Eiichiro Oda. We believe this illustration is perfect for the Hobonichi Techo, as “handwriting” is something we have always valued.

The lively design gives energy, motivating you to write all kinds of things throughout the year with Luffy as your buddy.

The stylish black-and-white illustration, the ivory background, the foil-pressed logo, the year 2025, and the black spine inspired by the ONE PIECE magazine. The crisp and mature overall design is something that we would definitely like the One Piece fans to have.

Please Read Before You Buy

In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.

Test fountain pens before regular use

The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.

Cover corners are slightly bumpy and shiny

The corners of the cover contain light traces of press marks, shines, and lumps. This is an unavoidable part of the manufacturing process.

Coloring may stain other objects

The dye in the cover may stain other objects if it rubs against or sticks to them, especially if the cover is wet from water or sweat from your hands. Please store with care.

Imprinted year numbers may peel

The numbers of the year are stamped onto the cover in metallic or other colored leaf, so strong rubbing or everyday use may cause the numbers to peel off.

Avoid storing in hot and humid places

Please avoid storing your product in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower quality and color stains.
