We all want our cats and dogs to live long, healthy lives as part of our families. This original Japanese-language Hobonichi Pet Health Booklet provides a place to store records on a pet’s vaccinations, doctors appointments, and other health information. The front cover of this booklet, used and loved by many ever since its first appearance in 2017, has changed with the 2022 edition.



Illustrations of a cute cat and dog from Josef Čapek's old Czech children’s book All About Doggie and Pussycat are printed in a vibrant light blue on a sunflower yellow base. The cute drawings from this book adorn the note pages too.



Few of the contents have been revised too. As well as revising the Profile page, we added a page to keep a detailed record of your pet's health when you start using the booklet.



The booklet also includes pages for reading basic information, recording vaccinations and appointments, listing a pet’s diet, tracking weight changes, and checking on general observations. Pages are written in Japanese and do not include English labels.



The booklet’s compact size makes it ideal for carrying alongside an A6 Original Hobonichi Techo. The booklet comes with a Hobonichi-branded case that’s great for bringing to the vet and storing receipts.



Profile:

This page provides a place to write all general information on your cat or dog, including a license number and main veterinary office. It also includes a section to write down your pet's meals for when you ask someone to watch your pet for you. This information is useful if your pet goes missing too.







Health Record:

1-page section to keep a detailed record of your pet's health when you start using the booklet. It will come in handy to know your pet's vaccinations and to keep track of the pace your pet visits the vet.







Vaccinations and Other Records:

Record dates for vaccinations, worms and flea prevention medication, and other regularly-scheduled events that are easy to forget. The 2-page spread keeps all this information visible at a glance.







Vet Visit Records:

Recording observations of your pet during vet visits can be helpful down the road, so you can use this 12-page section to take notes on things you notice suddenly or record longer-term observations.







Medicine Tracker:

This section offers 6 pages to record the names of medications for your pet and write down the side effects they caused, or other information.







Food Tracker:

Writing down your pet’s daily diet is helpful when you need to share this information with a pet hotel or petsitter. There are 3 pages to record their food, along with columns for treats, foods they can’t or won’t eat, and more.







Weight Tracker:

Body weight is one of the most important signs of health for a cat or dog. This 2-page section is perfect for using as a weight management tool for overweight pets, but it’s also good to track your pet’s weight on a regular basis.







Health Tracker:

This page allows you to record your pet’s condition for a week at a time when they don’t seem to be their normal self. There’s space to track their appetite and bowel movements. Making use of this 12-page section may help discover illnesses in the early stages.

The 16 blank graph pages in this section can host overflow from other pages, new and updated information about your cat or dog, or anything else that comes to mind.
