These are two important features that allow you to keep items from several shopping sessions into a single order.
This function can only be used after successfully placing an order. It stops your order from being shipped for up to 70 days from the date the order was placed. You can use this function by viewing the orders in your store account and clicking on the “Hold Shipment for Later” button. When you’re ready to receive your order, click the “Release Shipment Hold” button, and your order will be shipped generally within 1-3 business days of releasing the hold.
This function can only be used during checkout. When placing an order, if you have an existing unshipped order, you will be asked if you would like to place the order separately or add it to a previous order. Merge the new items into the existing order to combine and save on shipping costs.
You’d like to buy Product A which is released on September 1st and Product B which is released on October 1st, and have the items ship together.
1
Purchase Product A on September 1st. As soon as you finish checking out, view the orders in your store account page, select the order, and click “Hold Shipment for Later.”
2
Purchase Product B on October 1st. During checkout, click the “Merge order” button. This will combine Product A and Product B into a single order.
3
When you’re done shopping, view the order in your account and release the Shipment Hold.
4
All the items you’ve ordered at separate times and merged into the same order will arrive together.
-The Shipping Hold has a time limit of 70 days after the order was initially placed, no matter when the Shipping Hold is activated. After 70 days, the order is automatically removed from Shipping Hold and will enter preparations for shipment.
-Some products are not available for Shipment Hold or Merge Order. (This includes items sold through lottery sale or presale.)
-You can only merge items into the same order during checkout. You cannot merge two separately completed orders.
