avec Cousin Books
(January Start)(Monday-Start Week, 6-Month x2 Book Set)
In response to customers who have struggled with bulging books after collecting a year's worth of pasted material in the daily pages, we've introduced the new avec version, which splits the same book, design and all, into a 2-book set at six months each.
The six-month version is half the thickness, allowing significantly more room for users to comfortably fill its pages to the brim while keeping it easy to carry everywhere. Everything else is almost identical to its full-year counterpart, except that the December 2015 two-days-per-page dates leading up to the new year are taken out, leaving only the 2016 single day pages. Please note that the avec Cousin also does not include the Weekly Calendar available in its full-year counterpart.
The avec covers have been redesigned in 2016, with Book 1 (January-June) a bright lime yellow and Book 2 (July-December) a cool ice blue.

- Test fountain pens before regular use

The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.
