Our sleek Henry Cuir covers are individually hand-crafted in leather craftsman Henri Beguelin's studio in Italy. What ultimately sets these covers apart is the thick cowhide leather, which is vegetable-tanned by hand to allow the color and luster to deepen over years of use.

The 2016 edition A6 Henry Cuir covers have taken on the title "Intègre," or "integrity," as demonstrated in the painstaking labor poured into every aspect of each cover.

Among all four colors in the series, the Naturale cover shows the most drastic transformations over time. The amber color and luster deepen the more it is handled, so the individuality and habits of its user are gradually reflected in the leather. Yellow stitchwork accents the tan leather nicely, and the mature look of this sophisticated cover is paired with playful stitching of a dog beside a tree.

All covers are hand-made and may contain slight variances

This cover is painstakingly hand-crafted by an artisan in Henri Beguelin's workshop in Italy. We've paid careful attention to making every cover the same dimensions, but because every cover is created by hand, there will be slight differences between every cover. Please enjoy your very own one-of-a-kind Henry Cuir cover.

Leather coloring stains

Dyed leather products tend to leave stains. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the cover is wet from water or sweat from your hands.

Immediately dry cover if it gets wet

Immediately dab your cover with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated place in the shade.

Avoid storing in hot and humid places

Please avoid storing your cover in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower product quality and color stains. Please use caution when storing.

Not for use with Cover on Cover

The PVC plastic of the Cover on Cover contains plasticizer additives which may cause a reaction in the leather dye and affect the color and quality of the leather cover. Please refrain from using the Cover on Cover with this product.

Original leather feel varies by cover

The leather is carefully selected by Henri Beguelin and vegetable-tanned to retain an all-natural feel. The individuality of each cover is protected by preserving the naturally-occurring characteristics of leather such as wrinkles, scratches, stains or vein marks. Please note that tone may vary between covers due to factors such as compatibility of the dye and the leather, time of staining, and differences in environment.

Embroidery color varies by cover

The yarn colors featured in the front embroidery vary by cover to allow each user a unique design. Specific colors cannot be requested.

Antique glass beads on bookmarks vary by cover

Each bookmark contains an antique glass bead from a special collection Henri Beguelin has kept for many years. No two beads are alike in size or design, and some beads may be slightly chipped. We hope you enjoy the variation and anticipation in discovering which random bead you receive.

Sliding no-slip pens into the pen holder

Pens with rubber, non-slip grips may be difficult to slide into the pen holder.

Maximum pen width of 13.5mm for pen holder

The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2mm (0.48") diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free bonus gift with select Japanese-version Hobonichi Web Shop products. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5mm (0.53") in diameter.
