This G-SHOCK watch features a custom MOTHER design.
G-SHOCK is a line of watches first established in 1983 that has gained worldwide popularity for its durability and functional beauty. The model of this watch was chosen as the base for this custom MOTHER design after careful consideration alongside staff at CASIO. It’s the GW-M5610U model, which is hailed among fans as one of the “complete” models of G-SHOCK.

The watch design includes a square face, which was featured on the line’s first model (nicknamed the Speed Model). It includes the Multiband 6, which is compatible with six different standard time radio wave transmissions across the world to keep the time accurate. It also includes Tough Solar, a solar-powered battery-recharging system that works with both sunlight and fluorescent light.

Simply put, the GW-M5610U is an incredibly solid G-SHOCK model that eliminates the hassle of battery replacement and time adjustment. And, of course, it’s built very tough. It can withstand impact, and is water resistant up to 20 bar. This is a product that you can use for a very long time.

This custom design MOTHER collaboration G-SHOCK retains all those features from the original model, and adds the MOTHER logo and pixel art of the SMAAAASH!! Image on the watch face. These additions match the gold and blue used in the standard edition watch.

The bottom side of the watch is etched with the Earth logo of the MOTHER series, which has also served as a symbol for the Hobonichi MOTHER Project.

Custom G-SHOCK watches often include a custom silhouette that shows up in the backlighting of the watch face, but this MOTHER collaboration watch does not include that feature. This was in order to retain the watch’s Tough Solar ability.

The MOTHER G-SHOCK watch comes in a red case that showcases the MOTHER series’ trademark red and includes a printed MOTHER logo on the lid.

This custom MOTHER G-SHOCK watch keeps everything that fans love about G-SHOCK while incorporating special details about MOTHER. It has turned out wonderfully, and will appeal to people who want to use the watch for a long time, keep it safe for special occasions, people who are MOTHER fans, and people who are G-SHOCK fans.
