When making clothing and fashion items from their original textiles, minä perhonen inevitably finds itself with extra pieces. With these carefully collected “pieces,” they’ve created a lovely patchwork design for this aptly-named Hobonichi Techo cover. [colorful mix] is the compilation of bright-colored fabrics topped off with a lovely flower. Each cover is made up of 9 kinds of textiles, some of which are featured on clothing being released the same time as the Hobonichi Techo cover. The textile patches are sewn with a different alignment on each cover to give it an entirely unique look. - Inquiries about the minä perhonen collaboration covers
These Hobonichi Techo cover designs were directed by minä perhonen, but produced by Hobonichi. Inquiries about these covers cannot be answered at minä perhonen shop locations.
- All covers are hand-made and may contain slight variances
Each and every cover is individually sewn by a factory worker hand-operating a sewing machine. Best efforts are made to ensure consistent sizes and specifications, but as these products are hand-made, covers are not made as exact copies.
- Patchwork patterns vary by cover
The textiles comprising the patchwork design differ by design and location for each cover. Please understand the random nature of the design before ordering.
- Weave and textured material may fray
The woven threads on the material protrude from the fabric, so threads may fray if they catch on sharp objects or are tugged too strongly. Material with a nap may shed if rubbed or pulled too strongly. Please handle with care.
- About the bookmark
The bookmark of this cover uses original mina perhonen lace straps. If you see any loose threads, we recommend refraining from pulling on it, and instead tucking it between other woven threads.
- No outer pocket
Please note that this cover does not contain an outer pocket.
- Sliding no-slip pens into the pen holder
Hobonichi Techo covers come with pen holders that keep the pages shut. Depending on the material of the cover, pens with rubber grips may be difficult to slide into the holder.
- Maximum pen width for pen holder
The pen holder is designed to perfectly fit the 12.2mm (0.48”) diameter Jetstream pen offered as a free bonus gift with select Hobonichi Web Shop products. Pens with certain shapes and materials may be difficult to pull through the holder. The holder can fit pens up to 13.5mm (0.53”) in diameter.
- Cover on Cover
The PVC plastic of the Cover on Cover contains plasticizer additives which may cause a reaction in the leather dye and affect the color and quality of the leather cover. Please refrain from using the Cover on Cover with this product.
