The event is back for
Tobichi shops in
Tokyo and Kyoto!

Weʼll be back at the Tobichi Tokyo and Kyoto shops this year to host the Hobonichi Techo 2019 Lineup Preview event. Weʼll have the entire 2019 lineup on display so you can explore the selection and get a hands-on feel for the covers before sales begin. Weʼll also have some event-exclusive features for attendees to enjoy. The event will last two weeks from Friday, August 17th until Friday, August 29th, and we hope to see you there.

Come to our Tokyo Tobichi 2 or Tobichi Kyoto venues to see the full Hobonichi Techo 2019 lineup on display. Weʼll have all the books and covers, including covers only available by lottery-sale, covers limited to the Hobonichi Store, and even covers that donʼt begin sales until October or later. We also encourage all attendees to post photographs on social media.
Ask ourFrom August 17th – 20th, members of the Hobonichi Techo team will be at the venues to answer any questions and provide information.

Hobonichi TechoThe Hobonichi Techo Official Guidebook 2019 will go on sale August 20th, but starting August 17th, the book will be specially available for early sales at the Tobichi event venues. The book contains 24 interviews with techo users, a photo gallery of the techos of 43 people, information about the Hobonichi Techo 2019 lineup, and more. Although the book is in Japanese, it has lots of fun pictures.
Commemorative stampsWeʼll have a special, limited-edition commemorative stamp at both our Tokyo and Kyoto locations for visitors to stamp into their Hobonichi Techo pages.
Weekday serviceIf you arrive on weekdays, youʼll receive a little gift from the store. The dates of the campaign are as listed below:

Tam-kun's illustrationWeʼll have a special illustration by manga illustrator Tam-kun at our locations to welcome visitors to the event. Wisut Ponnimit, who goes by the nickname Tam-kun, created this cute character called Mamuang.
The artwork on water bottles at the event features an illustration from the Hobonichi Techo 2019 pamphlet Tam-kun illustrated for us. Please take one of these water bottles as a thank-you gift from us for coming in this hot summer weather.
In addition to a photo op board for visitors to take a picture next to Mamuang, weʼve also got a special corner filled with merchandise by Tam-kun.
