Introducing the Large Hobonichi 5-Year Techo!

The Hobonichi 5-Year Techo takes all the best features of the Hobonichi Techo and splits each daily page into 5 years. The 5-Year Techo was released last year to great acclaim, and many users are enjoying the all-new approach to enjoying the Hobonichi Techo.

This year, we’re introducing a new, larger 5-Year Techo for users who want plenty of space to fill in each entry with lots of content.

Large Hobonichi 5-Year Techo

The standard Hobonichi 5-Year Techo comes in a compact A6 size. the Large Hobonichi 5-Year Techo comes in a spacious A5 size. The contents of the books are the same, down to the quotes on the pages.

On each spread, the left page has the date and day of the week for all 5 years, with days of the week written in Japanese. Even a short jotted sentence each day makes the book quite exciting as the entries grow. The right page is a blank page for anything you’d like — such as continuing entries you couldn’t fit on the left or jotting notes you’d like to leave for the future.

The start and back of the book contain useful pages such as a yearly calendar across the 5-year span, “A Year Per Page” memo pages, “Gifts,” “Addresses,” “My Lists,” “Human History in 2 Pages,” and “Personal Notes.”

The Tomoe River paper provides an especially smooth writing experience, with thin, light paper that allows the book to stay compact. The book has the same thread-stitch binding as a dictionary, allowing it to lay flat open for comfortable writing, and attached is a single dark brown bookmark.

The textured cover is a calming shade of brown with the years foil-pressed in gold, and while the cover is designed to work wonderfully on its own, there are also special 5-Year Techo covers available for these books.

In addition, we’ve got a special gift set this year that comes with a unique design by Makoto Kagoshima called Bloom. This gift set is perfect for presenting the 5-Year Techo to someone special in your life (including you!)
