[This is what I love about
the Hobonichi Techo!]
The gstorageh to pack
everything from work to extras

Hello, Ifm Hoshino from the Techo team. In this series, each of us shares what we love about the Hobonichi Techo.

My choice is the hstorageh that holds all kinds of things, including the important and extra ones. When I say hstorage,h it has both the physical meaning of the capability to write and keep a lot of things and a feeling of being able to write about all sorts of stuff, whatever it is about.

The combination of gCousin Avec Books with a zipper-type coverh is what I am using at work for this year.

Let me show you some pictures of how much gstorageh the techo has.

The techo book that can be stuffed with anything from work to notes on what made you happy

(1) Want to keep everything at work in one techo book
(2) Prefer writing in large letters
(3) A lot of space for taking notes
(4) Capable of sticking various items

The Cousin Avec Books are perfect for all four points of the above. The A5 size sheets are large enough to take notes or paste some things on as much as you want, and it is much lighter to carry than a full-year edition since the Avec splits the year into books of six months each.

Weekly page
The weekly pages can be used to manage daily to-dos and the time as a work planner.

Every morning, I write down my to-dos for the day and my schedule of meetings, etc., and use a yellow marker to highlight the time I have to work on my tasks. (I have become a little more conscious of time management than before)

Remember This page
On the cover pages for each month, I like to paste fortune slips,

and notes I received from colleagues that I was glad with.

I enjoy making it represent the month.

One page per day
The A5 size format allows for plenty of writing, and I like to write whatever I feel like writing on the day.

Sometimes it would be rough drafts of the pages Ifm working on, meeting notes,

making scraps,

or pasting nice notes that I received at work and cute candy wrappers.

£This shows how flattered I was when I found my favorite sweet potato brand gBeni Azumah at the supermarket on my way home from work. I hadn't seen it in a long time!

The checkboxes at the top of the pages are great for notes on gWords I learnedh or gLittle happiness of the dayh which are not really related to work, and the gTheme of the Dayh Deco Rush.

šThe storage of Cousinfs zipper type cover
I still use the Hobonichi Techo 2018 gTote Book (Mustard),h which is no longer available on the official website. I love its simple design with plenty of space, and the pockets that hold more than enough stuff.

In the front pocket are stationery and business cards that I often use at work.

£The pocket is deep enough to hold two spare pens and more

I keep meaningful letters that I want to read again from time to time, exhibition flyers and stickers, and handouts for work in the back pocket.

I recommend keeping the letters that you treasure in the pockets. The letter that I have is from someone that took care of me at the company I joined as a new graduate. When I feel down or remember the spirit I started with, I read it over and feel refreshed.

EEE

Since I pack this and that in it, it has become a bit heavy and bulky. But I solved this problem by leaving it at the office when going home.

I put so much in it that it might not look like a techo for work, but the variety of the content makes me realize how strangely interesting it is that work and life are really made up of many different elements.

Itfs the room and storage capacity that allows me to not care about what I put in it, and even keep the extra things in life. The techo is my work partner that is generous enough to let me be myself.
