Shinsuke Yoshitake x HobonichiCover on Cover “Red Ball” for Cousin
This is the decorated version of the Cover on Cover, an optional, extra covering that fits select Hobonichi Techo covers to protect them from wear and tear while instantly giving solid-color covers a fresh new look. (Not for use directly on book.)
This Cover on Cover features the illustration of two schoolchildren playing tamaire, a game in which children throw as many balls as they can within a certain amount of time into a tall net. The balls rolling around the ground make up a polka-dot pattern across the cover, and give the illustration a charming design.
“Red Ball” is great for sprucing up solid-color techo covers with Shinsuke Yoshitake’s charming design.
Here’s a look at the product when used with each of the 2018 Hobonichi Techo “Colors” covers.
In order to preserve the design of this illustrated Cover on Cover, there is no opening located in the back to access the back pocket of the cover.

Please Read Before You Buy
In order to provide you with the most satisfaction for your product, we've compiled a list of warnings, potential issues, and tips to keep in mind for this particular product. Please be sure to read this information carefully before placing your order.
- Using the Cover on Cover
The PVC vinyl of the Cover on Cover may lose elasticity and become difficult to put on when left in cold temperatures. If this happens, we recommend letting the product sit in a warm area before applying to your cover. Please be careful when handling your Cover on Cover in cold temperatures, as it becomes more susceptible to damages if dropped or handled roughly.
- No opening for cover back pocket
In order to preserve the attractiveness of the patterns, the Cover on Cover does not contain an opening for the back pocket of the planner cover. Please note you will not be able to access this pocket when this Cover on Cover is on.
- Not for use with Cousin covers before 2014
Because the Hobonichi Techo Cousin covers were resized in 2014 (making them 4mm shorter), the 2018-edition A5 Cousin-size Cover on Cover will not fit covers released earlier than 2014.
