LeatherWine Red
The 2018 edition Wine Red Weeks book features durable and comfortable cow leather for the attached cover. The shiny ribbon bookmarks and headband on the book spine establish a slightly more elaborate construction than usual.
The leather for Wine Red has been dyed a luxuriously deep hue that has a delicate sheen. The sophisticated shade of red gives its user a serene appearance when carried around. The cover has been constructed as a light, hardcover book with some give to it so it still bends.
The top and bottom of the book spine contain headbands to reinforce the binding and decoration.
The tan and white satin ribbons make up the bookmarks for a lustrous, beautiful color scheme.
The leather Weeks book comes in a specially-designed envelope to prevent sun damage.

- Leather may contain preexisting wrinkles and marks
In order to allow customers the enjoyment of all-natural leather, the leather is processed in a way that retains its original feel. This may leave imperfections visible on the surface of the cover, such as wrinkles, scratches, stains, or vein marks.
Depending on the conditions in which the cover is used, natural oils of the leather may emerge and appear as stains. We ask for your understanding for these naturally-occurring characteristics of genuine leather.- Leather coloring stains
Dyed leather products tend to leave stains. Please be careful not to allow the leather to adhere or rub against other objects such as clothing or other belongings, especially if the cover is wet from water or sweat from your hands.
- Glossy leather does not age like tanned leather
Unlike tanned leather, glossy leather does not visibly age and change over time.
- Immediately dry the product if it gets wet
Immediately dab the product with a dry cloth if it gets wet. Avoid
drying it with high temperatures, and place it in a well-ventilated
place in the shade.- Avoid storing in hot and humid places
Please avoid storing your cover in hot, humid places or placing it atop other objects for long periods of time as this may result in lower product quality and color stains. Please use caution when storing.
- Test fountain pens before regular use
The Hobonichi Techo's Tomoe River paper is designed to prevent bleed-through, but some fountain pens and water-based ink pens are not compatible with this paper. When switching to a new pen, we recommend testing the pen somewhere in the book, such as the back memo pages, to see if the ink bleeds through or takes an especially long time to dry.
- Imprinted year numbers may peel
The numbers of the year are stamped onto the cover in gold leaf or other colors, so strong rubbing or everyday use may cause the numbers to peel off.
- Cover corners are slightly bumpy and shiny
The corners of the cover contain light traces of press marks, shines, and lumps. This is an unavoidable part of the manufacturing process.
- Color may vary slightly based on viewing screen
The color of the product may be slightly different in actuality than compared to how it appeared on a computer or smartphone screen.
- Not for use with the Clear Cover
Due to the properties of the cover material, this product is not recommended for use with the Clear Cover. Forcing it into the Clear Cover may damage this product or the Clear Cover.
