Here is a customer traveled all the way from Malaysia to visit TOBICHI KYOTO.

They discovered the Hobonichi Techo last year and have been using the Cousin ever since. They also picked out various other items, like stappo’s SUSHI and original stationery, making their shopping bag quite heavy!

We were thrilled when they said, "Please open a Hobonichi store in Malaysia!"
Will there be a TOBICHI Malaysia someday...? We’ll do our best!

１日ずつ描かれています。

今年、コラム用はHONにするそうです。
本当の"本"っぽくなりそうですね！

Greetings from TOBICHI KYOTO. A customer brought their 2024 Hobonichi Techo and kindly showed us the pages inside.

They use the Cousin for work and the Original for writing columns. The Cousin is like a dictionary, while the Original is filled with daily illustrations and words.

This year, they plan to switch to the HON (means book in Japanese) for their column. It’s going to be like a real “book”!

イタリア在住のGiuliaさんの手帳をご紹介します。

「たくさんの可愛くてカラフルなシールを使って、
夏のあいだの日々のできごとを書きました」

黄色とオレンジの色づかいが、
パッと明るい雰囲気で楽しい！
水色のシールがアクセントとして効いています。

これはたしかに、めいっぱいの夏を感じる。
文字の装飾からも、
ウキウキ弾んでいる気持ちが伝わってきますね。


Here's a look at Giulia's techo from Italy.

She says,"In the photo, I wrote my daily life during summer days with a lot of cute and colourful stickers."

The use of yellow and orange creates a bright and cheerful vibe! The light blue stickers add a nice touch as an accent. This really does capture the full feeling of summer.
You can also feel the excitement and joy from the way she decorates her writing.

絶対行かなきゃと思っていたんですよね。
あ、展示を見にきただけではありませんよ。

たくさんのMOTHERグッズの中に
手帳もしっかり並んでいました。

At Hobo Nichiyobi, we're currently hosting "The Secrets of Mother 2."
This year marks the 30th anniversary of "Earthbound (Mother 2)!"

I knew I had to check it out. And no, I’m not just here for the exhibit.

You can also purchase Hobonichi Techo from the Earthbound series. Among all the awesome Earthbound merch, the techos were neatly displayed.

One customer shared, "I played Earthbound when I was a kid, and it's my all-time favorite game! I look forward to getting the techo every year. It's so nice that I almost don't want to use it."

The design is so cute, it's perfect for displaying. "The Secrets of Mother 2" runs until Sunday, September 8th. There's only a little time left, so if you haven't visited yet, be sure to stop by!

渋谷ロフトから会社に戻ると別れ、
渋谷PARCOにある「ほぼ日曜日」に
やってきました。

After parting ways with Okada, who headed back to the office from Shibuya LOFT, I made my way to 'Hobo Nichiyobi' (which translates to 'Nearly Sunday' in English) at Shibuya PARCO.

Nearly...?

But today, September 1st, is actually Sunday.

Truly Sunday!

Reporting from the Shinjuku Mylord LOFT sales floor just after noon.

The Hobonichi Techo were beautifully lined up, and I saw a customer happily say, ‘I’m so glad to find it!’ when they found what they were looking for. It made me really happy.

Hi everyone! Raquel here, today was a very exciting day as today was the last day of the Preview Event and the pop-up store will officially be open tomorrow in the ROW DTLA!

Our colleague, Wakana, joined us today after arriving from Tokyo, Japan yesterday; we are so excited to have her join us. She and I had the nicest lunch at Rappahannock Oyster Bar today, I ordered Teriyaki Salmon while she got fried oyster tacos.

At the end of the day, it was time for our Hobonichi 2025 Launch Party at 6PM! We set-up the space with party streamers and made a nice banner. We also ordered some food and drinks to celebrate! After the festivities the team started setting up for the pop-up store.

While we were preparing for the big day tomorrow, we decided to surprise Tsubasa with a birthday cake as it was her birthday yesterday! Happy Birthday Tsubasa!

It's almost 11PM here in LA and I have to get some rest as I have to wake up bright and early to help with finalizing the set-up of the pop-up store. We can't wait to see everyone tomorrow!


【お祝い祭りな１日】


みなさん、こんにちは！ラケルです。
今日がプレビューイベント最終日で、
明日からいよいよ、ROW DTLAで
ポップアップストアがオープンするという、
なんともエキサイティングな１日でした！

そして今日（日本では昨日）、
東京から来てくれた乗組員のが合流しました。
彼女が加わってくれて本当に嬉しいです！
今日は一緒に、Rappahannock Oyster Barに
お昼ご飯を食べに行き、
私はテリヤキサーモンを、は
フライドオイスタータコスを注文しました。
とても素敵なランチタイムを
過ごすことができました〜！

そして、一日の締めくくりには、
ほぼ日手帳2025の発売記念パーティーがありました！
パーティーのために飾り付けをしたり、
素敵なバナーをつくったり、
パーティー用に軽食と飲み物も用意しました。
パーティーでほぼ日手帳の発売をお祝いした後は、
チームでポップアップストアの準備を始めました。

明日に向けての準備をしている中、
昨日誕生日だったに、
サプライズで誕生日のお祝いをしました！
お誕生日おめでとう！

現在、ロサンゼルスはもうすぐ夜11時。
明日のポップアップストアの最終準備のために
早起きしなきゃいけないので、
そろそろ休まなないと、、、。
明日、みなさんにお会いできるのが待ちきれません！

When I asked about the techo covers they decided to purchase, I learned they were gifts for family members.

The "Fish Scale Crest" cover from yuge fabric farm is for their son, who is taking his entrance exams this year. You can really feel the love and determination from his mother in choosing this auspicious pattern!

The Weeks book with the Bow & Tie "Snake Toy" cover is for the grandfather. The zodiac design is sure to be a hit with his friends too! What a thoughtful choice.
